Yesterday Photos

Bottom land next to Pecos River
I think people like to see what it's like around where I'm living. So yesterday, after the dogs and I took an abbreviated walk, (wind and snow) I went out again to take more pictures of this beautiful scenery.
My car for comparison in size

Pecos River

Another view of a pic I posted before. It's also on my FB header. No mountains that you can see today.

The snow didn't amount to much, And there's flurries coming down again this morning.Temp 25.9 degrees
After I came back from taking these pics, I discovered Ria had figured out how to open the cabinet door. She ate a whole box of large size dog treats. Stinker!!!
Then she had me up 2 or 3 times last night, she had to go out. I'm tired and cranky today :>(
I think a nap this afternoon would be good :>)
BTW: I made it so people can now leave comments. I didn't know that you weren't able to till my sis pointed it out. I'm sorry, I like comments

Sharing good news

Wishing Heart
Stitches Holding Me Together

Are you wondering about the pics of these small art quilts that I made ages ago after I was in the accident. Making them was a part of my rehab process, not because anyone told me to, just because I wanted to see if I could. It was really important to me. I took part in an online quilt group through Fiberarts of Southern California, a group for artists with disabilities.
Recently, I was asked to be part of a book that's in the process of being put together about quilt artists with disabilities. There are 20 or so artists whose stories will be shared. Some well known, others like me. Offering hope and inspiration for people in the world at large.

Time is flying by. And I'm still not unpacked :>( I'm making headway though. I have quite abit  more unpacked and put away.

I've also been taking care of the insurance stuff relating to getting hit last week. In case you haven't seen my car, here's a shot of what it looked like afterwards. I was just going to the post office to pick up a package, went through the 4 way stop, before I could get all the way through, BAM! This guy wasn't paying attention, told me that he didn't see me even though it was 2:30 in the afternoon on a clear day. Driving a red volvo to boot, what's there not to see!
I wasn't hurt, the dogs were shook up as they were riding in the back of the car. I was shook up though, so much so that I didn't even think to call the police. After picking up my package at the post office, I did go to the state patrol office and pick up the forms I need to fill out since it wasn't reported. I have uninsured motorist coverage on my auto policy, so it'll "only" cost $250 to have it fixed. And the estimate was only $2650!
Sheesh...

I'll settle for dull and boring about this point. Too much excitement for me :>)
